Moonlight Kiss

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

If you haven’t heard the soundtrack of Serendipity, you just HAVE to hear it! I discovered it late in life, thanks to my boss Mike.  He had it in his IPod and was playing it in his car when we were doing the rounds of Churches after the boards.  Moonlight Kiss by Bap Kennedy is the absolute best! It’s a cuddle and snuggle song !  Or something you’d play during an O.R. Hehe. Another good track is January Rain and Never a Day.  And of course, the timeless Waiting in Vain. Oh, yeah, and When You Know. Hell, the entire album is good!

The Last Exam of My Life

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

I took and passed what I hope to be the last exam in my life! The oral part of my Ophtha Diplomate exam was last Sunday, and all PGH takers, including me, Joyce, Marion, Aldous and Mike passed it!  It is such a relief to get that done and over with!  Sam also took his diplomate exams, the written and oral part in that same weekend, and he passed, even placing 4th! God, I’m marrying a dorko!  Anyway, I can finally get on with my life, meaning I have research paper to write, Powerpoint presentations to make, Singapore requirements to get, and clinics to attend to. Ha! But now, the axe that was hanging over my head is gone!  And THAT is a huge relief!  As in our written exam, Divine Intervention played a huge part, and God sent us our families, colleagues and consultants to help us and cheer us on even when we doubted ourselves.  So now, I rest….

Samosas!!!

Sunday, October 2nd, 2005

Samosas from any Assad Supermarket.  Deep fried pastry filled with mashed potatos, chickpeas, red bellpeppers and spices, served with hot tamarind sauce, washed down with a glass of iced tea. Mmmmmmm……..Enough said.
